Quick answers to common questions. If you can't find what you need, get in touch.

Account and security

  • How do I create an account?›
Go to /register, fill in email, name, password and country. We send you a verification email. You can start using Horus on the Free plan straight away, although some paid features require email verification.
  • How do I enable two-factor authentication (2FA)?›
Go to Profile → Security → Enable 2FA. Scan the QR code with Google Authenticator, 1Password or any TOTP app. We hand you backup codes in case you lose your phone, keep them somewhere safe.
  • How do I permanently delete my account?›
Profile → Security → Danger zone → Delete account. You confirm with your 2FA code (or password if you don't have it). If you have an active subscription, we cancel it in Stripe on the spot. Your data, your clients and your files get wiped. Issued invoices are kept for 4 years by Spanish tax law, with personal data stripped.
  • How do I download all my data?›
Profile → Security → Danger zone → Download JSON. You download a file with every piece of personal information tied to your account: user, agency, clients, invoices and audit log. It does not include passwords or 2FA secrets. This is the GDPR right to portability.
  • I forgot my password, what do I do?›
Click «Forgot your password?» on the login screen. We send a link to the email you signed up with. If it doesn't arrive in a few minutes, check spam and try again; if it still doesn't, write to support@joinhorus.com.
  • Can I sign in with Google?›
Yes, with the 'Continue with Google' button on the login page. If your email already had a Horus account, Google links to it. For security, if that account had a password but the email was never verified, the old password is voided when you sign in with Google (you can set a new one from your profile). If you have 2FA enabled, Google is blocked: sign in with email, password and your code.

Plans and billing

  • What plans are there and what does each include?›
    Free (1 client, 2 users, 1 GB, no raw uploads), Starter €9.99/mo (3 / 10 / 100 GB + raw uploads + notifications + multi-channel), Pro €24.99/mo (10 / 50 / 500 GB + payments module + sponsors) and Agency €59.99/mo (30 / 200 / 2 TB). Full comparison at /pricing.
  • Do prices include VAT?›
No. Listed prices (€9.99 / €24.99 / €59.99) are net of tax. Stripe calculates and adds VAT automatically at checkout based on your country. The invoice breaks down base and tax.
  • How do I change plan?›
Subscription → Change plan → pick the new one. Upgrades take effect immediately with proration of the current period. Downgrades take effect at the next cycle. To downgrade, your storage must be under the new plan's limit.
  • How do I cancel my subscription?›
Subscription → Manage in Stripe → cancel. The subscription stays active until the end of the period you already paid. After cancellation you have a 30-day grace window to download your data before deletion.
  • Do you issue refunds?›
By default we don't refund months already charged. Exceptions: when the law requires it or when the charge was clearly wrong. If you think that's your case, write to support@joinhorus.com and we'll look into it.
  • How much storage do I have and where do I see it?›
Each plan includes a storage quota for footage and attachments. The Storage bar in the sidebar shows your usage at all times (and it is clickable: it takes you to your plan). If the bar turns amber or red, we also warn you on the dashboard with an upgrade button. Deleting old videos frees space instantly.

Clients and team

  • How do I create a client?›
From the manager dashboard, click «New client» in the sidebar. Give it a name and optionally a logo. The client lands in your workspace with every module enabled. You can toggle them on or off from the client's detail page.
  • How do I invite a team member?›
Open the specific client → Team tab → Invite member. Enter their email and role (editor, thumbnail designer, client manager, etc.). They get an email to accept and create their account if they don't have one.
  • What is multi-channel per client?›
Lets one client run several YouTube channels in parallel (e.g. main channel + a secondary Shorts channel). Each team member can have different permissions per channel. Available from the Starter plan.
  • How do role permissions work?›
Each role (editor, scriptwriter, thumbnail maker…) has default permissions per module. In Settings → Team & permissions you can adjust them per project with the matrix: green means allowed by default, blue means you changed it. Hover a cell to see what each permission does. Changes take about half a minute to apply.
  • Which time zone are times shown in?›
Always in the project's time zone (or your agency's if the project has none of its own), no matter who is looking or from where. That way an editor in another country sees the same publish time you do. Times you type are interpreted in that zone too. Your personal zone is set in your profile; the project's, in its settings.

Modules

  • How do I upload raw footage?›
Open the project → Footage module → New video button → Upload video (you can also drag files onto the page). We support MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI and MPEG up to 50 GB per file, or paste external links (Drive, etc.) if the material lives elsewhere. Uploads go straight to storage without passing through our server, at the full speed of your connection.
  • How does the thumbnails kanban work?›
Each thumbnail is a card that moves across columns: Waiting for brief → Pending → In progress → Delivered → Corrections → Approved → Published. The assigned thumbnail maker moves their cards and the manager reviews. Dragging into Corrections asks for a reason, which the maker sees on their card. Clicking a card opens the detail with A/B/C titles, brief and attachments.
  • How does the weekly planner work?›
Shows two weeks side by side (current and next) with one slot per day. Each member has a colour and you can assign videos to a slot. The video status (Brief / Recording / Editing / Published) shows directly on the slot.
  • Which plans include notifications?›
Discord and email notifications from Starter. Collaborator payments and sponsors from Pro. You can disable the notifications module per client from the client's settings page.
  • How does the content calendar work?›
It is the board where each video moves through stages: Footage → Footage ready → Editing → In review → Scheduled → Published, one lane per channel. Each card carries channel, publish time, scriptwriter, editor and links (script, resources, review). You can drag cards between stages (with an Undo button just in case), filter by channel by clicking the card chip, and switch to a month view.
  • What are video templates?›
Combinations of channel + time + team you use often (for example 'Main channel, 9pm, with your usual editor'). When creating a card you pick the template and it fills everything in one go. If the template time clashes with one you had already set, it asks right there which one to keep. A template can be 'no fixed time' so it leaves the card time alone.
  • How does the scripts module work?›
Enable it per project in Settings → Modules. With it, Footage gets a 'Prepare to record' flow: the scriptwriter drops the script (file or link) and base material before recording, and whoever records gets notified. Each video keeps a script version history, and uploading a new version notifies the video's team.
  • How does the thumbnail maker deliver their work?›
Everything goes through files: inside the thumbnail there is a References section (examples the manager uploads) and a Deliveries section (where the maker uploads the result, JPG or PNG). Uploading a delivery notifies the manager. If the manager wants changes, they drag the card to Corrections with a note and the maker sees it on their card.
  • How do recurring payments with tiers work?›
Define tiers (priced categories) in Settings → Tiers and assign them to planner videos. A recurring payment in 'Tiers only' mode automatically adds up the tiered videos of the period: the month ENDING on the payment day (a July 15 payment covers June 16 to July 15). The modal shows you the math live before saving, and if the period's videos change later, the pending receipt recalculates itself. 'Base + tiers' mode adds that sum to a fixed monthly amount.
  • Who can see payment amounts?›
Money is only visible to the manager, the project admin and each member (their own only). An editor sees their own payments and monthly summary, but never what others earn, even if they share the planner with them.
  • What is the sponsors module for?›
It tracks brand integrations: each sponsor has a monthly quota and every integration is logged with its video and date. At a glance you see how many integrations are left this month for each brand. Available from the Pro plan and enabled per project.

Support

  • How do I contact support?›
Three options: live chat inside the dashboard (if you accepted cookies), contact form at /contact, and direct email to support@joinhorus.com. The chat is the fastest channel when we're online.
  • What's your response time?›
European business hours (Monday to Friday, 9:00–18:00 CET). Free and Starter plans: up to 48 business hours. Pro and Agency plans: priority, usually same business day.
